Glycine max, "paipilionàcies" family
This is an annual herbaceous plant, from 40 to 100cm high, trifoliate leaves, violet flowers, legume fruit.
This is originated in Eastern Asia, where this is harvested since in olden days. Nowadays its harvest is extended in different subtropical and tempered regions.
The plant is "farratgera" and the seeds are used in the production of dietetics products, oil and "pinsos".
The composition of dry soy grain is, for each 100g, the following: water, 8; porteins, 35-45; lipids, 18-20.
