Oats with calcium
Montseny water, oats* (14%), alga Lithothamnium calcareum, seaweed (Chondrus crispus).
Low in saturated fats, which helps maintain normal cholesterol levels. Low in salt, which helps maintain normal blood pressure. No added sugar (contains naturally occurring sugars). High in calcium, necessary for the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth. Calcium also helps maintain normal bodily functions such as blood clotting, metabolism, muscle function, neurotransmission and digestion, as well as cell division and differentiation.
Where we do it
Our processing plant is located in the heart of Montseny Natural Park. It’s surrounded by farmland and forests of holm oak… Directly in front is Matagalls, the highest peak in the park. The air is clean, the landscape bucolic and the flora and fauna abundant. And in order to leave everything exactly as we found it, 100% of the by-products and water we use is recycled.
How we do it
We select the organic grain then we grind and macerate it along with the seaweed (Chondrus crispus). Then, with the aid of amylases (enzymes that convert carbohydrates such as starch into glucose molecules) we extract all the nutrients and sweetness from the oats. We then add the alga Lithothamnium calcareum to provide a source of calcium and other minerals. The drink then undergoes UHT treatment to ensure food safety standards before finally being packaged.
Delicious at any time of the day. Reminiscent of the smell of earth after rain. A hint of sweetness makes it even more pleasing to the palate.
Why you will like it?
Because it’s as good to drink chilled as it is at room temperature. It hydrates you and gives you the boost of energy and minerals you need to get on with your daily chores. It can also contribute to the recommended minimum intake of 2 litres of water a day.
